"Mosque" - ular dystrophy

OK. I know the world has been waiting with bated breath for my take on the planned mosque/community center down near the World Trade Center site. So here it is: the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and freedom of worship. I get that and I agree with it. However, just because we have the freedom to do something does not always mean that we should. Especially in this case.
The Constitution says we have the right to free speech. Does that make it alright to use racial slurs when we know they can be hurtful? No it doesn't. We try to be sensitive, or anyway we should, to the feelings of those who are affected by our use of language.
So there you have it. The wounds are still open and the survivors and families of 9/11 victims should not have to face a visible reminder of that tragedy.

My first blog

Today I am trying out this blogging thingy. I seem to have many thoughts but no one cares to listen to them. Now I can write down whatever I want and I can then pretend that someone is paying attention.

I believe this is my initial step towards crazy!!!!!!
